Over the late May bank holiday my sister and I took a wee trip up to Skye, which in addition to being a place we’ve always wanted to go to, was aimed at giving me an opportunity to test my packing skills and new kit. I’ll be camping for at least 7 weeks of my 9 week trip so this test was pretty important. The tent just about* stood up to the wind and rain, but I awoke with the cold a couple of times one night, so I’ll be taking the 4 seasons sleeping bag after all. *Ande and I nearly got blown away at the campsite and had to find alternative accommodation on night 3, am not sure what this says about my resolve or my chances of surviving Iceland.
